Namuju Ignatius, OGW



Mr. Namuju Ignatius is currently serving as the Executive Secretary in charge of Commission Secretarial Services at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) from 2018 to date. He was seconded to the Commission in 2018 and eventually absorbed into the establishment of SRC as part of the core team of officers to enhance capacity and provide the impetus to the smooth operationalization of the newly appointed full-time Commission following the amendment of SRC Act.


Before then, he served as the Office Administrator in charge of the Office of the Chief of Staff in the Executive Office of the Deputy President, where he exhibited exemplary performance and healthy work ethics from 2013-2018. He had earlier served as the Personal Secretary to the Director of Administration in the former Ministry of Higher Education, Science & Technology (2008 – 2013).


Mr. Namuju has an inexplicable passion for the Secretarial profession. He is the immediate former National Secretary for the Kenya National Secretaries Association, the professional association for Secretaries in Kenya, which he co-founded. During the period he served as the National Secretary, he was able to spearhead the development of a legal pathway for the Secretarial Profession in Kenya through the Secretarial Professionals Bill which is currently with the State Department of Public Service.

    In recognition of his commitment and exemplary performance which he has consistently demonstrated since he started working with the Government of Kenya and his general contribution to the Secretarial profession in the country, Mr. Namuju was featured and won the 2nd Runners-Up of 2018 Personal Assistants of the Year Award (Africa).

  • Community Services

    Namuju is also involved in various community support initiatives in his home County where particularly he is supporting needy students in public universities and several others in secondary schools. He also gives motivational talks in various local primary and secondary schools.

  • Education & Training

    ?Namuju holds a degree in Business Administration and a diploma in Secretarial Studies and several other Secretarial professional certifications. He is also a graduate of the National Youth Service (NYS).
